Following the EU motto “United in Diversity”, this project brings together artists from 27 EU countries, plus two special guests from Ukraine and Norway, to create an artwork
on the theme of freedom and energy on the Lennon Wall
in Prague, a symbol of freedom and peace.
It’s a wall that not only does not divide,
but also unites.
Over the course of one day, on 7 September 2022, the artists created a large-scale artwork measuring 35 x 5 metres. This historic layer of painting was then photographed and printed on an inflatable wall of the same size.
And now, on a trip across Europe, we will present this unique and shared view of the artists on the topic human freedom and the energy of art.
The international cultural project WALL OF FREEDOM & ENERGY / LENNON WALL PRAGUE, is part of the Czech Presidency of the Council of the European Union.
The author and curator of the project is Czech artist Pavel Šťastný and the co-organizer and cultural producer is Robin Suchánek.
This project has been possible thanks to the cooperation of Michel Fleischmann, Ambassador of the Czech Republic in Paris and Jan Horník, Vice-Chairman of the Senate of the Parliament of the Czech Republic.
